Music Ministry
At Neill's Creek, we value music as an integral part of worship. We have numerous talented musicians and vocalists. Our worship music is traditional with choir, organ, and pianist. If God is calling you to use your musical gifts in his name there is a place here for you. Whether it is in the choir, as a soloist, instrumentalist, or praise team, there is an opportunity for your musical offering to God. Contact the Church Office to inquire about opportunities.
Devin Hocutt
Minister of Music
At a young age, Devin developed a talent for music that has taken him on a life journey. This journey started at 3 years old playing “When the Saints Go Marching In” by ear on a friend’s piano. Through his love for music, he started his ministry as pianist at 15 years old. For the next 20 years, Devin served churches in the greater Raleigh area and is currently serving at Neill’s Creek as Minister of Music. Devin oversees a vibrant music ministry including Adult Choir, Handbell choir, and coordinates weekly worship services. Devin has always felt the calling on his life to serve God through music in a church. His goal is to share the good news of the Gospel through music with everyone.
Devin holds a bachelors of music education degree from Campbell University where he majored in piano and conducting and minored in voice. He is currently going through his National Board Certification and is an active member of the North Carolina Music Educators Association as well as the American Choral Directors Association. In addition to Devin’s service at Neill’s Creek Baptist, he is the choral director at Willow Springs High School. He and his wife, Leigh, live on their family farm with their daughter, Kennedy, golden retriever, Tucker, cat, Kit Kat, and about 20 angus cows.
