Devin Hocutt

Minister of Music

Devin Hocutt serves as our director of music. He is a gifted musician who leads congregational singing and directs the adult choir as they sing anthems and special cantatas. Devin is also the choral director at Willow Springs High School where he oversees a comprehensive choral arts program of more than 140 students. He loves worshipping God, teaching music, and helping people use their musical gifts for God’s glory. Devin is married to his wife, Leigh, and has three daughters: Kennedy, Evelyn, and Harvie Mae. When not at church you’ll find him fishing, cutting hay on the family farm, or cooking a banana pudding. Devin’s favorite Bible verse is James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” and Psalm 150:

“Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD!”
